摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automated measurement of skin perfusion pressure. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic skin blood flow measuring system including an instrumentation tool that automatically analyzes blood flow measurements to identify motion artifact and SPP values and a sensor placement device are provided. The instrumentation tool is configured not to ignore motion artifact. The blood flow measurements are designated as SPP values if various criteria are met. SPP value criteria pertain to factors including cuff pressure, the blood flow, blood flow change percentages relative to previous and subsequent blood flow measurements, and whether the blood flow measurements are increasing or decreasing relative to the previous and subsequent blood flow measurements.
