<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of setting an interlace slot dedicated to MIMO by assigning dedicated pilot for supporting multi-input multi-output (MIMO) of a CDMA2000Nx-EV-DO compatible system in an HRPD system. <P>SOLUTION: The method of setting an interlace slot dedicated to MIMO includes a step for checking whether or not a current interlace is a specific interlace to which a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) signal for estimating channel in a receiver is inserted, and a step for inserting the MIMO signal into the specific interlace and then transmitting the MIMO signal according to a predetermined transmission scheme if the current interlace is the specific interlace. With this device and method, MIMO can be used efficiently in a system where an EV-DO user, an MIMO EV-DO user, an OFDM user, and MIMO-OFDM user coexist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
