<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon cutter improved in working efficiency by cutting used ink ribbon so as to prevent characters and image remaining on the ink ribbon from being read and leaked out. <P>SOLUTION: A cutter knife for cutting the ink ribbon is arranged between the ink ribbon and an ink ribbon draw-out roller which draws out the ink ribbon. The ink ribbon cutter is configured so that the advancing angle of the blade of the cutter knife and the ink ribbon is set to 10 degrees or less, for high cutting efficiency. The ink ribbon is discharged through a discharge roller constituted of a conductive member.
