<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of recording continuous images without being affected by a change in carriage speed. <P>SOLUTION: When determined that the counted value in a counting area in a band exceeds the number of dots of threshold, flag information showing the effect is stored (S106). Then, a process of dot counting or the like is repeated until the completion of the process of all bands included in one continuous image (S107). When determined the absence of the continuous recording data, the flag information is referred to (S108), it is determined whether or not the division area exceeding the number of dots of threshold is present in the band of the continuous recording data.
