<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light wave range finder of which the light-receiving value is optimally adjusted without using a mechanical drive for adjusting a light emitting amount and without repeating a light amount adjusting work. <P>SOLUTION: The light wave range finder is constituted in such a manner that a plurality of resistors having predetermined fixed resistance values from high through low values are prepared to selectively load one of them to light transmission means while looking an amplitude of a light reception signal in an arithmetic processing section. When the amplitude of light reception signal to be input to signal conversion means is determined as a maximum input value or larger in the arithmetic processing section, a signal selection is repeated so as to reduce the light emitting amount to be lower than the light emitting amount at a present stage until becoming less than the maximum input value, and when the amplitude of the light reception signal is determined as a maximum input value or larger, the signal selection is repeated so as to raise the light emitting amount to be larger than the present light emitting amount until becoming the maximum light emitting amount un-exceeding the maximum input value. By the repetitions, the optimum light emitting amount is determined among the light emitting amounts of intermittent plural patterns, and the frequency of signal selection is enough to the same frequency as the number of prepared resistors even at the maximum case, and a light amount adjustment work is remarkably progressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
