<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy regeneration device for a working machine, that can attain securing of operability and improveme fuel efficiency by energy regeneration regardless of the type of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a regeneration circuit which guides return oil to a tank through a hydraulic motor connecting with an electric generator; a flow adjustment circuit which guides return oil to the tank through a flow adjustment means; a first detection means which detects an operation amount of an operation device that is a regeneration object among a plurality of operation devices; a second detection means which detects operation amounts of the plurality of operation devices respectively; a flow division ratio computing means which computes, based on a relationship between operation amount and meter-out flow rate and the operation amount detected by the first detection means, a flow division ratio that is a ratio of the flow rate of return oil flowing on the regeneration circuit side to the flow rate of return oil flowing on the flow adjustment circuit side; and an operation type discrimination means which fetches the operation amounts of the plurality of operation devices to discriminate an operation type of the working machine and outputs a discrimination signal.
