<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling accesses for a home network in which the home appliances connected thereto can be shared between plural service systems utilizing the home network, and a home gateway device using the access control method. <P>SOLUTION: A HGW (home gateway) holds a home appliance management table separately for each piece of preset attribute information, indicating whether any of home appliances 10 using corresponding DRV program information per corresponding AP program information is usable. When AP program information is activated, information of home appliances 10 currently usable by means of the AP program is acquired on the basis of a home appliance management table with its attribute information corresponding to the AP program, whereby usable appliance display information is generated to transmit to a user terminal 70.
