FINITE IMPULSE RESPONSE DIGITAL FILTER AND IMPLEMENTATION METHOD THEREFOR

A finite impulse response (FIR) digital filter and an implementation method therefor. The filter comprises an extraction module (101), an impulse response module (104-107), and a processing module (110). The extraction module (101) is configured to extract an impulse signal on the basis of an input signal of the FIR digital filter. The impulse response module (104-107) is configured to acquire and to transmit an impulse response signal on the basis of the amplitude of the impulse signal extracted by the extraction module (101) and of a pre-stored factor of the FIR digital filter. The processing module (110) is configured to process the impulse response signal outputted by the impulse response module (104-107), and to make the processing result as an output signal of the FIR filter. The FIR digital filter and the implementation therefor solve the problem of existing FIR filters requiring numerous multipliers and adders when the input signal is a rectangular wave or a step wave, thus achieving the effects of reduced resource usage and improved system operating speed.
