A point group data processing device is provided with: a non-planar region elimination unit (101) that eliminates point group data pertaining to non-planar regions entailing a large calculation burden from point group data that associate two-dimensional images that are to be measured with three-dimensional coordinate data for a plurality of points that constitute the two-dimensional images; a surface labeling part (102) that applies labels that identify surfaces, after non-planar region data have been eliminated from the point group data; and an outline calculation part (106) that calculates the outline of a subject using local planes based on local regions that are contiguous to the labeled surfaces.
