<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid spilled on an operation panel from reaching a substrate without enlarging an image recording device and without increasing risk of discharge to the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid infiltrating from a concave part of the operation panel into a housing of the image recording device flows downward at a flow passage part (a first flow passage) provided on a rear surface side of a front cover composing a front wall of the housing. The liquid which has flowed in the first flow passage flows in a second flow passage 32 provided at a front end part of a top plate 44 supporting the substrate to right/left directions 9 and flows out to a storage part 13. When a large amount of liquid infiltrates into the housing, a part of the liquid infiltrating into the housing flows in a third flow passage 33. The liquid which has flowed in the third flow passage 33 flows out to a gap between a shield plate arranged below the substrate and the top plate 44.
