The invention relates to a transformation method that can be used to transform direct current into alternating current, with high usage of the direct input current and low total harmonic distortion (DAT). The invention also relates to the device used to carry out said method. When the invention is being used primarily to obtain three-phase current, it is suitable for use in power supply sources known as on-board systems, such as on aircraft, boats and, in particular, trains. The invention is also suitable for use in controlling three-phase motors.
