PURPOSE: A movable electrode latching device of a high speed switch is provided to have a simplified structure by including a circular spring, a groove for installing the spring, and a groove for fixing a movable electrode. CONSTITUTION: A movable electrode(30) has a spring holding groove and an inner hollow on the inner circumference surface. A guide member(70) is inserted into the hollow of the movable electrode. The guide member guides the axial movement of the movable electrode. A circular spring(90) is inserted into the spring holding groove of the movable electrode. The circular spring is moved with the movable electrode together moving to an open position or an inserting position.
