Planar lighting apparatus and Liquid crystal display having the same

PURPOSE: A planar lighting device and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to have thin thickness by removing a light guide plate and using only a prism sheet. CONSTITUTION: A prism sheet(50) is separately installed on the upper side of a reflective sheet. The prism sheet includes a prism pattern on the surface facing the reflective sheet. The prism pattern totally reflects the light emitted from a light source(20). The light source emits light to the space between the reflective sheet and the prism sheet. The light source is installed on one side of the space.
