The fence system includes a number of posts 10, 10a supporting at least one panel 8 which comprises a polymer material. Preferably the polymer is made from a uniform piece of polyurethane foam produced using an aromatic isocyanate and a polyol such as a polyester or polyether compound. The isocyanate may include diphenylmethane diiosocyanate (MDI) isomer. The panels and posts may comprise grooves or channels for receiving the other. Accessories may be mounted to the fence such as a flower box, plant box or growth trough bowl baskets, that have apertures for drainage of excess liquid in soil within the plant container. The polymer may comprise one or more reinfocement rigid braces, such as steel or nylon. Also claimed is a method of constructing a fence panel, post or accessory including the steps of introducing a substantially liquid prepolymer into a mould and then curing the same. The panel may eventually look like a conventional wooden imitation panel.
