PURPOSE: A stirling engine with an improved heat exchange unit is provided to increase engine efficiency with a minimized dead volume as the gas used for a piston stroke exists only in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A stirling engine with an improved heat exchange unit comprises an expansion cylinder(110), a compression cylinder(120), a high temperature liquid circulating unit(210), and a liquid heating unit(230). The piston of the expansion cylinder reciprocates according to the changes in the volume of high temperature gas. The piston of the compression cylinder reciprocates according to the changes in the volume of low temperature gas. The high temperature liquid circulating unit circulates high temperature liquid in the expansion cylinder. The liquid heating unit supplies the high temperature gas to the high temperature liquid circulating unit to heat the high temperature liquid. |
