The heat exchanger has a beam for achieving heat exchange between fluids. A casing (7) is provided for receiving the beam. A fluid collecting box (23) is welded to the casing. A recess (37) i.e. chamfer, is provided at a junction between the collecting box and the casing, and oblique relative to a support plane between the collecting box and the casing. The collecting box includes a peripheral contact interface (27) welded to a peripheral edge (29) associated with the casing. External surface (41) of the box is aligned with respect to external surface (43) of the casing.
