The simulator (20) has a brake booster (44), and a tandem master cylinder (28) that comprises a set of pressure chambers (36, 38). A set of balancing chambers is respectively connected with the set of pressure chambers. A three-way valve (54) is switched in a position when pressure in one of the balancing chambers exceeds a predetermined threshold or if the pressure in another balancing chamber exceeds another predetermined threshold.
