<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a kit of measuring activities of a group of enzymes taking part in biosynthesis of HP/HS particularly ND, ST and NDST simply, promptly, in high sensitivity, in high precision and inexpensively, and to provide a method of screening a substance changing the activities of these enzymes. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of detecting the activities of N-deacetylase, N-sulfotransferase and N-deacetylase/N-sulfotransferase in a novel modified polysaccharide, a solid phase to which the polysaccharide is fixed, and a specimen using the solid phase.
