<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare light-emitting units of a backlight device so as not to make the edge of light guide sections of light guide plates run off a light-emitting range of the backlight device, in the backlight device formed by aligning a plurality of light-emitting units made by assembling light sources and the light guide plates. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device is formed in a plane state by assembling the plurality of light-emitting units. The light guide plate of the light-emitting unit has light guide sections 4-1 to 4-4 for guiding light from the light sources, and light-emitting surfaces 5-1 to 5-4 for emitting light from the light guide sections. Adjacent light-emitting units are arranged by crossing each other so as not to make the edges of the light guide sections of respective light guide plates of the light-emitting unit run off the light-emitting range of the backlight device, and the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting unit covers up the light guide sections of the other light-emitting units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
