摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator and an assembly method therefor, hardly influenced by ESD and enabling easy measurement of a frequency characteristic of a vibrator irrespective of the thickness of the vibrator, with a wide variable width and reduced cost. <P>SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator includes an IC chip 2 juxtaposed on the bottom face of a package 5, a measurement substrate 7 and a crystal vibrator 1 supported thereby. A connection electrode, including a bonding pad portion and a connection portion, is formed on the measurement substrate 7. Wires 31, 32 connect connection electrodes 21, 22 of the IC chip 2 to the bonding pad portion of the connection electrodes. In the assembly method, the connection electrodes of the IC chip 2 are directly connected to the electrode of the crystal vibrator, enabling reducing parasitic capacitance. A crystal vibration test performed before package mounting reduces a frequency adjustment width to be performed after mounting, enabling reducing a parameter change of the crystal vibrator and reducing the dispersion of a variable characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
