<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method having resistance to poisoning of catalysts in the case of producing a light olefin, especially propylene by subjecting an olefin raw material containing impurities to catalytic cracking. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing a light olefin comprises: bringing a raw material olefin flow containing at least one sulfur derivative impurity, nitrogen derivative impurity and/or oxygen derivative impurity into contact with MFI-type crystalline silicate catalyst having at least about 180 silica/aluminum atom ratio; and producing effluent flow substantially having same olefin weight content as the raw material flow, but having olefin distribution different from the raw material flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
