<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer, which has high heat resistance and low moisture absorption and can be produced without using a metal catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer comprises a structural unit derived from an alicyclic monomer (A) expressed by general formula (1).
