<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle approach warning device in which sound quality is restrained from being deteriorated due to the generation of a squelching sound while improving the recognizability of the approach of a vehicle to a pedestrian or the like by changing sound pressure according to a state of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The sound pressure is changed gradually from the sound pressure corresponding to the state of the vehicle before a sudden change of the sound pressure to the sound pressure corresponding to the state of the vehicle after the sudden change so that the sound pressure is changed gradually even if the sound pressure is changed suddenly if the sound pressure is set on the basis of the state of the vehicle. In concrete, a time when the amount of the sound pressure to be changed per unit time corresponding to such a state of the vehicle such as an accelerator opening degree is equal to or higher than a predetermined discrimination value is defined as the sudden change time of the sound pressure. Such sound pressure moderate change control is performed from the sound pressure corresponding to the state of the vehicle before the sudden change time to the sound pressure corresponding to the state of the vehicle after the sudden change time that an increasing gradient of the sound pressure is made gentler in comparison with the case that the sound pressure is set so as to match the sound pressure corresponding to the state of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
