<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that forms a cutoff reference line which is used when cutting an identification photograph with scissors or a cutter, so as to be easily viewable by a simple method while being hardly recognizable when an error is caused in the cutoff. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes a transfer means for transferring an overcoat to a printed matter with a square print region.
