<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type of a polymer exhibiting various characteristics as necessary, and being suitable in use as an underwater adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer is a polymer in which at least three kinds of side chains are bonded to the main chain composed of a polyacrylate, wherein a first side chain in the side chains has a structure originated from a monomer constituting the polyacrylate, and a hydrophilic or hydrophobic functional group or atom group may be bonded to the terminal through a linker site; a second side chain in the side chains has a catecholic hydroxyl group which may be modified on the terminal; and a third and successive side chains in the side chains have a functional group or an atom group modifying the polymer or imparting a predetermined function to the polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
