The invention relates to a device that can be used as a means for implanting an intrastromal prosthesis, of the segment or ring type, inside a patient's corneal tunnel. The implantation device dispenses with the need for conventional clamps and instead includes an injector which is provided with a rail for supporting the implantable segment and which is associated with a ring holder part coupled to a first end of a base cylinder or tunnel. According to the invention, a rotatably actuated Delhom type carriage includes an integral arm with a push tip for inserting the segment, and a locking cover coupled to the opposite end of the base cylinder or tunnel includes a longitudinally extending rod ending in a tip that can be positioned inside the rail against the rear end of the segment and a cavity for housing both the arm bearing the push tip and the ring holder clamp.
