<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time delay when acquiring frequency characteristic of steering wheel operation data by a driver and surely detect reduction of arousal degree in a short period. <P>SOLUTION: Steering angle data for 25.6 seconds from the present to the past is folded to create steering angle data for 25.6 seconds of the future, and an FFT operation is performed by setting a range of 25.6 seconds of the past and a range of 25.6 seconds of the future to the segments of a window function. Thereby, at the point of time when the FFT operation terminates, estimation of an arousal degree under the significant consideration of data near the center of the window function, that is, data near the present can be performed, and influence of time delay can be reduced as compared with a conventional method in which a frequency component is calculated from past data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
