PURPOSE: A method for driving a display panel and a display device for performing the same are provided to improve a display quality by cancelling out an offset value of a data voltage. CONSTITUTION: A data driver(500) includes a shift register(510), a latch(520), a DA converter(530), an output unit(540) and a controller(550). The shift register outputs a latch pulse to the latch. The latch receives a data signal from a timing controller. The DA converter receives the data signal from the latch. The output unit compensates data voltages.
