[Classes 18 and 66] A one-piece container for liquid &c. of fibrous material &c. having a friction-plug closure is made from a blank as shown in Fig. 4 cut from a strip as shown in Fig. 6, folded along lines 17, 19, 21, 23 to form two inwardly directed V-shaped grooves, and made up into the form of a tube by adhesively securing flap 31 to panel 26. A friction-closure plug 44 is struck up from the material of flap 36, causing slits 42 to assume the shape shown, and the ends are secured by holding in flaps 53, 51, 52 and 54 in that order and securing them by adhesive, and thereafter holding in flaps 35, 33, 34 and 36 in that order and securing them by adhesive. Plug 44 may be expanded after insertion and its rim may project beyond the pouring lip.
