PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for preventing, improving or treating pimples is provided to enhance suppression effects on pimple cause virus and 5A-reductase. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for preventing, improving or treating pimples includes Hovenia Dulcis Fruit as active ingredient. The herb is Melissa Officinalis leaf extract, bergamot, Mentha arvensis L. var. piperascens MALINV. leaf or Eclipta prostrate. The herbal extract is extracted as water, C1-C3 of alcohol, and a mixture thereof. The herbal extract is water-soluble component. The herbal extract and Hovenia Dulcis Fruit are contained at the mass rate of 1- 10 : 1-10. The mixing extract has an antibacterial activity towards Propionbacterium acnes, Staphylococus epidermidis or Malassezia furfur. A composition for preventing, improving or treating pimples includes Melissa officinalis extract, Bergamot extract, Ecliptae Herba extract and hovenia dulcis as the active ingredient.
