PURPOSE: A device for destroying the injection needle of an injection needle assembly and a method thereof are provided to collect only damaged injection needles. CONSTITUTION: A device for destroying the injection needle of an injection needle assembly comprises a main body(110), a toothed wheel(120), a tension part(130), and a collection container(140). An inlet for the insertion of an injection needle is formed in the main body. The toothed wheel is installed in the main body and comprises a drive toothed wheel and a driven toothed wheel. The tension part is installed so that the driven toothed wheel can move backward. The collection container is installed to be slide-inserted into and withdrawn from the main body.
