PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of hydrophobically surface treated nanodiamond using fatty acid and lubricant including the nanodiamond manufactured by the same are provided to improve the abrasion resistance of the lubricant including the nanodiamond. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of hydrophobically surface treated nanodiamond using fatty acid includes the following steps: nanodiamond is added into oil to form a first mixture; monounsaturated fatty acid and an amine-based compound are added into the first mixture to form a second mixture; and the second mixture undergoes ultrasound wave-based treatment or ball milling-based treatment. The monounsaturated fatty acid is selected from a group including linoleic acid, linolenic acid, arachidonic acid, and oleic acid. The amine-based compound is selected from a group including hexadecyl amine, heptadecyl amine, octadecyl amine, nonadecyl amine, and dodecyl amine. |
