FIELD: information technology.SUBSTANCE: disclosed is removal of a malicious code from a file in a first file format via conversion thereof to a converted file of a second file format. Converting the file eliminates malicious code embedded within the source file from being stored in the converted file. The conversion is performed within a restricted computer process which has restricted privileges limiting its access to an operating system and a computer system. As a result, even if malicious code embedded within the file executes while the file is being converted into the converted file, potential damage to the computer system will be minimal owing the limited access privileges of the restricted process.EFFECT: high security of a computer system, particularly leading to minimisation of potential damage to a computer system as a result of execution of malicious code embedded in a file during conversion of the file.19 cl, 6 dwg |
