A two-wheeled electric vehicle is provided with: a drive command detection means; a state value detection means capable of detecting a state value different from the drive command; an electric motor which generates running power to be transmitted to a drive wheel; a control means which is capable of executing a non-normal mode in which the output of the electric motor is made to be different from the normal mode, and in either the normal mode or the non-normal mode, if the state value detected by the state value detection means satisfies a predetermined transition condition, changes the mode to the other mode; and a cornering assessment means which assesses whether or not the two-wheeled electric vehicle is in the act of cornering. When the cornering assessment means assesses that the two-wheeled electric vehicle is in the act of cornering and the transition condition is satisfied, the control means functions so that the change in output of the electric motor is suppressed compared to the case where the cornering assessment means assesses that the two-wheeled electric vehicle is not in the act of cornering and the transition condition is satisfied. |
