PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently exchange a signal containing control information between a base station device and a mobile station device by efficiently setting an area for which there is a possibility of arranging the signal containing the control information about a data signal using cooperative communication, in a communication system comprised of a plurality of mobile station devices and the base station.

SOLUTION: A mobile station device communicates with a base station device and receives from the base station device a control channel and a reference signal on which the same precoding processing has been performed. The mobile station device includes a mobile station device control unit, a propagation path estimation unit, and a control channel detection unit. The mobile station control unit sets a resource area in which reference signals are arranged and for which there is a possibility of arranging the control channel. The propagation path estimation unit averages an estimate of propagation path variation estimated from a plurality of reference signals within the area. The control channel detection unit uses the averaged propagation path estimate to perform processing for detecting the control channel containing the control information addressed to the mobile station device per se.
