<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated fluorescent substance particle capable of further improving incident efficiency of exciting light into a fluorescent particle and luminous efficiency of the fluorescent particle by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The coated fluorescent substance includes a fluorescent particle and a coating layer for covering the outside the fluorescent particle. The coating layer includes a parent phase formed by metal oxide and a metal oxide particle whose refractive index is higher than that in the parent phase. The metal oxide particle is dispersed in the parent phase and exists while the metal oxide particle concentration of the coating layer decreases as separating from the fluorescent particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
