<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tackifier that can strike a balance between the improvement of a plant-origination rate and excellent tackifying performance, to provide a rubber composition in which the tackifier is contained, and to provide a tire made by using the rubber composition. <P>SOLUTION: The tackifier is a composition that contains a novolac-type biomass phenol resin (A) and an amphiphilic compound (B), ≥30 mass% of which in solid content is dissolved in water or methyl ethyl ketone at 25°C.
