<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygenator having an improved gas exchanging property. <P>SOLUTION: An intravenous oxygenator for enriching blood with oxygen has a twisted fiber bundle for passing oxygen and carbon dioxide, and is a device in which the fibers are connected to a gas supply means through a first connection and to a gas evacuation means through a second connection so that oxygen and carbon dioxide flow from the first connection to the second connection through the fibers, and the fiber bundle is twisted by relative rotation of the first connection relative to the second connection of the fibers about the longitudinal axis of the oxygenator. The neighboring fiber bundles of the fiber bundles arranged in series along the oxygenator are twisted in the same direction, and each fiber is twisted in the fiber bundle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
