PELLET OF HIGHLY CRYSTALLINE POLYCYANOARYL ETHER, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND MOLDING THEREOF

PURPOSE: To obtain a molded product of high guality by forming pellets having a desired degree of crystallization and a desired average wt. from specific polycyanoaryl ether and molding them in a stable state without bonding them mutually. CONSTITUTION: Pellets of amorphous polycyanoaryl ether containing at least 50mol% of a repeating unit represented by the formula and characterized by that the reduced viscosity [ηsp /c] in a slon. with a concn. of 0.2g/dl containing p-chlorophenol as a solvent at 60 deg.C is 0.5-3dl/g are heated to 150-300 deg.C within 1min-10hr while stirred at a stirring speed of 10- below 500rpm. By this method, pellets of highly crystalline polycyanoryl ether with a degree of crystallization of at least 5% and an average wt. of 0.5-200mg are produced.
