<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction limit discharge tube for reducing lamp power upon standby of ultraviolet light irradiation. <P>SOLUTION: The induction limit discharge tube 10 includes a discharge tube 20 in which a pair of electrodes 30 are formed at both ends, and mercury and inert gas are included inside, which irradiates an irradiated object with ultraviolet light. The discharge tube 20 includes a small diameter section 24 between the pair of electrodes 30 and large diameter sections 22 connected to both ends of the small diameter section 24, both of which are linearly tubular and have the same outer diameters and different inner diameters. A length ratio of the small diameter section 24 and the large diameter sections 22 in an axial direction is set to 8:2. A ratio of the inner diameters of the large diameter sections 22 and the small diameter section 24 is set to 10:8.4 to 8.6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
