<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the weight of a machine body increases to a great extent when an electric seedling transplanter is equipped with a battery of large capacity, and a vehicle body sinks to apply a load to wheels when seedling planting work is performed in a field with a deep plow sole, and in consequence, an operation time is not extended even if battery capacity is increased. <P>SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter includes a seat cover 6 provided on the vehicle body 1 and formed swelling higher than an operation floor 2 and side floors 3 to cover a motor room 4 and to place a driving seat 5 on its upper face, and an electric motor M mounted in the motor room 4 to transmit power to wheels 78 and a seedling planting apparatus 9 to carry out seedling planting work. A room opening 11 having an opening/closing side cover 10 is formed in the upper side position of the side floor 3 at the side of the seat cover 6, and the battery B is supported through drawer rails 12 in the motor room 4.
