APPARATUS FOR COATING HOUSING FOR MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD OF COATING HOUSING FOR MOBILE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coat a housing for a mobile terminal by an inkjet process while suppressing the waste of a coating material and the consumption of energy for air conditioning.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for coating the housing for the mobile terminal possesses: a workpiece transportation device 5 possessing a workpiece supply table having a first stage 10 freely rotatable in the vertical direction and a second stage 11 freely rotatable in the horizontal direction; an inkjet device 12 arranged on the way of a track of the workpiece transportation device 5; an UV device 16; and a controller 21 for controlling the operation of the whole device. The inject device 12 possesses a printer head 14 freely movable in the up and down direction. The surface of the workpiece is coated by depositing the ink from the printer head 14 on the workpiece being moved by the workpiece transportation device 5 and the side surface of the workpiece is coated by rotating the first stage 10 and the second stage 11 at a prescribed angle to incline the workpiece to the printer head 14 by a prescribed angle and to move the printer head 14 upward by a prescribed length.
