PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-quality display video images by appropriately controlling processing of reducing motion blur of display video images due to a time integral effect of an imaging device.

SOLUTION: An image processor includes a motion detection unit 1 for detecting a motion amount of input image signals, and an edge emphasis unit 2 for executing edge emphasis processing to the input image signals, and the edge emphasis degree of the edge emphasis processing is increased for an area where the motion amount of the input image signals is large. The image processor includes a control unit 4 for reducing the edge emphasis degree of the edge emphasis processing or not performing the edge emphasis processing when a field depth is shallow even in the area where the motion amount of the input image signals is large, on the basis of camera information indicating a field depth when generating the input image signals using an imaging apparatus.
