Disclosed is a wireless communication terminal. The wireless communication terminal comprises an application detection module, used for detecting characteristics of a current service and the current state of a network, and determining whether to hand over the wireless communication terminal from the current network to another network. Accordingly, also disclosed is a network handover method. Compared with the prior art, the present invention can eliminate the defect that a wireless communication terminal can only passively execute requirements from a network side, so as to actively perform, according to requirements of a service, corresponding adjustment on the handover network, thereby improving the use experience of users and meanwhile reducing signaling loads of the network.
