A filtration apparatus (100) comprises a filtration unit (101) for carrying out filtration processing of liquid, the filtration apparatus being constituted so that it is possible to wash the filtration unit (101) by using ozone-containing liquid. The filtration apparatus also comprises: an ozone-containing liquid generator (102) for generating the ozone-containing liquid; a washing channel through which the ozone-containing liquid is supplied from the ozone-containing liquid generator (102) to the filtration unit (101); a drainage channel from which the ozone-containing liquid after use for washing of the filtration unit (101) is drained; and a gas-liquid separator (103) connected to the drainage channel. This enables the prevention of discharging high concentrations of ozone gas to the atmosphere.
