<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely suppress generation of abnormal noise caused by vibration of an intake pipe while securing drive force of a vehicle during a low/medium speed operation of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 1 includes an internal combustion engine 10 and a second motor generator MG2 as a drive source. The internal combustion engine 10 includes an intake-side valve timing changing mechanism changing opening/closing timing of an intake valve and an exhaust-side valve timing changing mechanism changing opening/closing timing of an exhaust valve. The changing mechanisms change a valve overlap period VOL of the intake valve and the exhaust valve. An electronic control device 50 inhibits the execution of increase control of increasing the valve overlap period VOL when an engine load rate KL is equal to or less than a predetermined value KL1 during a low/medium speed operation of the internal combustion engine 10, and assists the driving of the vehicle 1 by the second motor generator MG2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
