摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an efficient mesh group which is excellent in image approximate accuracy with respect to an input image. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor includes: detection means for detecting an edge line from an input image; division means for, by defining the edge line whose edge intensity is equal to or more than specific edge intensity among the detected edge lines as a strong edge line, setting a plurality of first feature points on the strong edge line, and a plurality of second feature points which are different from the plurality of first feature points on the input image, and for, by using a feature point group in which the plurality of first feature points and the plurality of second feature points are integrated, dividing the input image into a plurality of meshes with each point in the feature point group as a vertex; color setting means for, as for each vertex of each of the divided meshes, setting color information of two colors, with respect to the vertex corresponding to the first feature point, at both sides of the strong edge line at a position corresponding to the vertex, and for setting color information of one color, with respect to the vertex corresponding to the second feature point, at the position corresponding to the vertex; and encoding means for encoding each of the divided meshes, and for outputting encoded data including the set color information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
