<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt device capable of regulating skew of an endless belt by setting a load torque to an appropriate value when the endless belt rotates in a circumferential direction. <P>SOLUTION: A belt device 60 comprises: an intermediate transfer belt 10e which has a smooth inner peripheral surface and is rotatable; a drive roller 10f; a tension roller 10h; contact members 13, 14 which are provided upstream of a downstream-side end part position K within a rest angle area 12a of the drive roller 10f, and downstream of an upstream-side end part position J within a creep angle area 12b of the tension roller 10h, and which sandwich end parts in the belt width direction M of the intermediate transfer belt 10e from an outer peripheral surface side and an inner peripheral surface side of the intermediate transfer belt 10e contacting therewith so as to not cause curvature to the intermediate transfer belt 10e. The belt device 60 is constituted to increase an extension amount of the intermediate transfer belt 10e at the end parts where the intermediate transfer belt 10e contacts with the contact members 13, 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
