<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge controller of a secondary battery, which can suppress internal pressure rise of the secondary battery and improve fuel economy of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A charge controller calculates electromotive voltage of a secondary battery and if the calculated electromotive voltage of the secondary battery is more than or equal to gas generation potential that causes gas generation in the secondary battery, target charge amount set for the secondary battery is restricted or maintained. And if the electromotive voltage of the secondary battery is less than the gas generation potential, the target charge amount is controlled to increase the target charge amount so that the secondary battery is charged based on the controlled target charge amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
