The method involves metering amount of melt by a rotation of a plasticizing- and injection screw (3) through a rotary drive (4) when obtaining a changeover point in the form of defined axial position of the screw. The screw is translatory-moved by a movable drive (5), and a defined axial shift velocity (v) of the screw is driven by the movable drive up to defined end position in accordance with a predetermined profile. A predetermined impact pressure (p) in the melt is allowed to be driven by the rotary drive in accordance with a predetermined profile.
